People-Powered Solutions is an HR consulting and leadership development firm built by two people who spent decades inside large organizations before building something smaller, more focused, and a lot more honest.

We work with growing organizations to build HR infrastructure, develop leaders, and resolve the people-problems that are slowing everything else down. Our clients tend to be operational organizations: healthcare, trades, environmental services, nonprofits, and growing SMBs. What they share is a moment when the people side of the business got complicated, and they needed someone who could help them sort it out.

Lori-Ann Duguay

FOUNDER/CEO

Lori-Ann spent over two decades in senior HR and operations roles before co-founding People-Powered Solutions. She’s worked inside large, complex organizations long enough to know where the real people-problems actually come from, and how to fix them without making things worse.

She brings deep expertise in HR consulting, conflict resolution, and leadership coaching. Much of her work starts with a DiSC assessment, not because it’s a formula, but because understanding how someone naturally operates makes everything else go faster. Her coaching clients include executives, business owners, and managers navigating the messy, high-stakes work of leading through change.

Lori-Ann is based in Northern Ontario and works with organizations across Canada.

Lori-Ann is a certified Dispute Resolution Practitioner, with an Advanced Certificate in Alternative Dispute Resolution from the Canadian Institute of Applied Negotiation (specializing in Mediation, Negotiation and Conflict Analysis/System Design). She is also a licensed partner of Wiley’s Everything DiSC suite of assessment products. Her educational background includes a Post-Graduate Certificate in Human Resources Management and Labour Relations from Athabasca University, and a B.A. in Humanities from Laurentian University.

Sarah is a certified change management practitioner who works with people navigating transitions, organizational, professional, and personal. Her background spans government, tech-adjacent environments, and consulting, and she brings a systems-thinking lens to the work: how do you design processes, communication, and structure so that change actually lands instead of just getting announced?

Her coaching practice draws on her own experience with burnout, values-based decision making, and building systems that work for how her brain actually operates. She’s particularly effective with people dealing with change fatigue, or anyone who’s ever felt like standard leadership advice wasn’t quite written for them.

Julie is an accomplished professional with over 15 years of experience in office administration. Armed with a Business Management diploma, she has consistently demonstrated her commitment to excellence and dedication to her craft.

Driven by her passion for entrepreneurship, Julie recently embarked on a new venture by launching her own Virtual Assistant business. Leveraging her extensive administrative background, she has successfully provided virtual support to clients from diverse industries, helping them achieve their business goals and freeing up their time to focus on core activities.

Building upon her experience and recognizing the growing importance of social media in today’s business landscape, Julie has transitioned into the role of a Social Media Growth Strategist. With her deep understanding of various social media platforms and their impact on business growth, she assists clients in developing effective strategies to expand their online presence, engage with their target audience, and drive tangible results. 

Julie’s dedication to professional growth and her commitment to delivering exceptional results have made her a sought-after expert in her field. Her ability to adapt to evolving technologies and trends, coupled with her strong interpersonal skills, enables her to forge meaningful connections with clients and empower them to achieve their social media objectives.

Outside of her professional pursuits, Julie enjoys exploring the latest digital marketing trends and engaging in continuous learning to stay ahead in her field. She is passionate about helping businesses thrive in the digital age and looks forward to making a lasting impact as a Social Media Growth Strategist.

Over the past 15 years, Holly has held a variety of front line and management roles and has worked with diverse teams and organizations. All of which have provided her with first-rate people skills. Holly understands people!

She is an expert at helping individuals and teams increase self-awareness and achieve “ah-ha! moments” to broaden both their individual and organizational perspectives.

Over the years, she has facilitated many in-person and virtual workshops on a variety of topics and she prides herself on offering a fully engaging experiential learning experience to all of her participants. Holly’s passion is finding ways to communicate information and experiences that inspire others to grow, learn and ultimately become the best version of themselves.

Holly holds an honours degree in social Work from Laurentian University and has completed numerous specialization certificates in her quest to fill her coaching and facilitation toolkit to be able to support and guide her clients to defining and achieving their professional and personal goals.
